The Wayne Warriors place 9 out of 13 weight classes and take 3rd place.
The Wayne wrestling team meant business. After being shunned by the coaches polls, the Warriors came into the Troy Invitational with a chip on their shoulder. They proved without a doubt that they may be young, but have the skill and heart it takes to be a top team in the miami valley. 11 of 13 wrestlers from Wayne won their first round matches. This included a major upset by Waynes own Ronnie Caudill who pinned the number one seed from Liberty-Salem with :13 seconds left. Wayne continued to roll, and racked up 247 team points.
