Wayne Wrestlers look to continue winning ways at Stebbins Quad-Meet
The Wayne Wrestling team took their perfect 2010-2011 dual meet record a short drive to their former WOL rival Stebbins High School. The four team Quad consisted of Fairborn, Stebbins, Wayne, and Xenia. After they were matched up, Wayne drew Fairborn, and Stebbins drew Xenia with the winners facing each other in the finals.

Wayne took on Fairborn first, and made them scream Uncle. The Warriors won 9 out of the 13 weight classes, while Fairborn won 3, and 2 of those were due to forfeit. Wayne showed their dominance by winning with pins in 7 of their 9 victories, Including a :55 second pin by Michael "I'd rather throw you than know you" Ross. Others receiving wins by pins included Marcus Windsor (119), Daniel McCaslin (125), Joey Miller (135), Jarrod Hardrick (189), Josh Atkins (215), and Clarence Hancock (285). Also winning was Sarah Allen (103), and Ronnie Caudill (171).
Wayne 32 Stebbins 39
The championship match was set. Warriors versus Indians, the winning tribe taking home the trophy. It started off with Marcus Windsor (119) winning by major decision and putting Wayne up 5-0. After a tough loss at the 125 pound weight class, Wayne had to forfeit 3 matches 130, 145, and 160. That's 18 points all together 6 points per forfeit. To add insult to injury, along with those forfeits the Indians rolled off another 5 victories against Wayne. At that point the score was 39-5 in favor of Stebbins, and all the Warriors could do was keep it respectable. That's just what they did. Jarrod Hardrick (189), and Senior Josh Atkins (215) both won their matches. The first by injury forfeit and the second by pin. Thus narrowing the gap to 39-17 Indians. Although down, the Warriors never gave up, and (103) Sarah Allen jogged on to the mat. She proceeded to give her opponent the business, by pinning him in 1:45. Not to be outdone, Freshman Brendan Gibson (112) also won his match by pin. Although their perfect dual streak was halted, the last 2 matches brought Wayne within 7 points, and allowed them to leave with their heads high knowing they had fought to the end.
Next up for the Warriors of Wayne is the "Warrior Duals". However, due to construction at Wayne it is being held at Fairborns Baker Jr. High. Good Luck Warriors.
